Reviews
You can see some very famous treasures.
Starting from Takio Shrine, we walked to Jogyodo Hall and Sanbutsu Hall.
[Size of Buddha]
The height of the building is amazing, but you will be overwhelmed by the size of the golden Buddha.
If you go directly below Senju Kannon, Amida Nyorai, and Bato Kannon, you will see their eyes.
I don't think it can be helped, but there is a flow so there is no atmosphere to slow down.
[Seated statue of Tokugawa Ieyasu]
There is a size gap after the Buddha, but it was nice to be able to see the seated statue of Ieyasu.
Have a great morning at Kanaya Hotel Bakery Cottage Inn Restaurant & Bakery, which is open from 9am. Then visit "Jakko Falls," "Wakako Shrine," "Jogyodo," and "Takio Shrine," and recharge your batteries at power spots. Enjoy the architectural beauty at Tamozawa Imperial Villa. It's best to buy Yubimusubi and Mizu Yokan at Fudaraku Honpo. Soak in the hot springs at ``Day Trip Hot Spring Honoka'' and take a break at ``Nikko Municipal Kamibachiishi Parking Lot.'' A fulfilling day ends in the blink of an eye.
Many swords were on display.
The luxurious items made me realize the great power of Ieyasu.
This surprised me. With its size, I thought it's just a random collection showcased in a place then they called it museum. Entrance is included in the all-in ticket with the grand shrine (2,200 for adults). You can opt to just enter the shrine for 1,700. Entrance is automatic using the tickrt QR code at the gate. The exhibit showcases the Tokugawa clan's items, and of particular note is the collection of samurai swords. They have a small theater with an animated mini-movie of the Edo period. Taking pictures strictly not allowed.
I didn’t see any precious treasures. The design of the palace was a bit too scattered.
Small exhibition, who love kata a sword must visit. Nice cafe pizza toast and soft serve is good
800 yen ticket
